The average MFAP family unit of three earns $833 per month, which is 63.83% of the 2006 Federal Poverty Guidelines. The average case would cost a client between $350 and $2500 to be represented by an attorney. The services provided to MFAP patients is an invaluable resource that they could not afford otherwise.
MFAP values providing quality extended services to patients by making referrals on a pro bono basis to attorneys who have agreed to volunteer their legal expertise. MFAP needs your help to increase access to legal advocacy in the health setting.
